Job Description
Mapmygenome is currently seeking a meticulous Accessioning Officer to oversee the specimen processing and ensure adherence to our standard operating procedures (SOP). The ideal candidate will be tasked with receiving, accessioning, and managing specimens in accordance with established protocols. Responsibilities include inputting donor information into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS/LIS) and maintaining appropriate storage conditions. Additionally, you will be involved in managing sample outsourcing, conducting statistics on incoming samples, and supervising quality control programs. Other essential duties entail maintaining inventory supplies, assisting with specimen collection, and ensuring waste segregation aligns with regulatory standards.
